Thank you for your Ikon Pass purchase through Outside Life. Please read the important information below regarding your pass purchase:
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Please contact Outside Life directly with all questions and inquiries regarding your Ikon Pass at ikonpass@outsidelife.com or 888-688-5134.
$25 DEPOSIT REQUIRED: A $25 deposit is required to reserve your Ikon Pass. Pass prices will increase incrementally through October. Your pass rate is not locked in until you are paid in full OR unless you have opted into an Uplift payment plan. You may pay for your pass in full any time prior to the final payment deadline. Your pass will not be processed until it is paid in full. Last day to make a Deposit Only is Friday, October 4, 2024.
REFUND POLICY: Prior to paying in full, the pass may be canceled and fully refunded, between March 14th and November 8th, 2024, upon request through the Outside Life Customer Service Team.
Once you have paid in full, Outside Life is NOT able to refund any amount. The pass is non-refundable.
FINAL PAYMENT DEADLINES:
Anyone who registers for the pass after October 4th will be required to pay in full

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOU PAY IN FULL FOR YOUR IKON PASS: After the pass is paid in full and you’ve been student verified, Outside Life will upload your information into the Ikon Pass database. You will receive a code to redeem on IkonPass.com Passes are guaranteed by November 8th. A confirmation email with a Promo Code and instructions is emailed. You may request for your code to be sent earlier than November 8th.
You will redeem on https://account.ikonpass.com/en/promocode then upload a photo for your ID, input your shipping address and sign a liability waiver.
DEFERRALS: To redeem a deferral credit from the previous year, you must have already submitted your deferral request with Ikon under their Confidence to Buy program. You can reach out to Ikon or you can email us and we can help apply your deferral credit to your IkonPass.com account.
You can defer your 24/25 pass to next year, 25/26, until December 12, 2024. In order to defer your pass, you will have to redeem your code for the current season then continue to your IkonPass.com profile and defer your pass from there. Contact ikonpass@outsidelife.com for further assistance.
While Outside Life processes your Ikon Pass information, please, DO NOT create a profile on ikonpass.com. Once the pass has been processed, you will receive instructions on how to activate your pass and create (or log in to) your ikonpass.com profile.
When can I expect to receive my Ikon Pass in the mail? Your pass will not be processed through Alterra until it is paid in full. If you purchase your pass and pay in full, Outside Life will issue your Promo Code by November 8th, 2024. If you would like to activate your pass for 2024 spring skiing, please reach out to Outside Life directly at ikonpass@outsidelife.com. Passes will not be processed by Alterra until all steps above are complete. Alterra will start mailing passes in fall 2024.
Can I pick up my Ikon Pass at an Ikon Resort? Yes, as soon as your pass is processed and you redeem your code, you have the option to pick up your Ikon Pass at any North American Alterra Resort with your confirmation number.
What about Pass Insurance? SPOT insurance coverage is available for purchase directly through Alterra Mountain Company Insurance options can be added to your profile by reaching out to college@alterramtnco.com until October 31st, 2024..
PRIVACY: Transactional information obtained during the payment process is retained by a third party gateway and follows its own privacy policies. Please see SheerID for more information.
Price Increases: If Alterra announces any price increase to the passes, you must be paid in full or on the payment plan to be locked in to the current pricing. A $25 deposit DOES NOT lock in your pricing.

Your privacy is important to Outside Livin (dba Outside) and we are committed to protecting your privacy in a manner that will allow you to use our services with confidence and comfort. So we’ve developed a Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your information. Use of the services offered at this site constitutes acceptance of the terms of this Policy. Here are examples of the types of personal information Outside Life may collect and how we may use it.
What personal information we collect:
When you create an account on the Outside Life website you provide us with your name, email, address, phone number, gender, graduation date, height/shoe size for rental purposes and birth date. You will also be able to add a picture of yourself.
The purpose of using the Outside Life site is to register for services provided by the company. Specific details about your trip are recorded and collected
A benefit of using the website is to connect with other trip participants within your group so you may ask questions and exchange information like pictures and videos. Examples include updating your trip status by making a payment, submitting a Q&A, uploading a photo or video, and making comments in the Media Center.
Transactional information obtained during the payment process is retained by a third party payment gateway and follows its own privacy policies. Please see AffiniPay for more information.
Information we collect when you interact with the Outside Life registration portal:
Site activity information. We keep track of some of the actions you make while in the portal, such as creating a photo album, sending messages, using the Q&A Center, indicating you “like” a post, and attending an event/trip. In some cases you are also taking an action when you provide information or content to us. For example, if you share a picture or video we might log the fact that you shared it.
Access Device and Browser Information. When you access the Outside Life registration portal from a computer we may collect information from that device about your browser type, location, and IP address, as well as the pages you visit.
Cookie Information. We use "cookies" (small pieces of data we store for an extended period of time on your computer, mobile phone, or other device) to make the portal easier to use and to protect both you and Outside Life. For example, we use them to store your login ID (but never your password) to make it easier for you to login whenever you come back to the portal. We also use them to confirm that you are logged into the portal. Removing or blocking cookies using the settings in your browser, will impact the portal’s functionality and your ability to use it.
What we do with your information:
We use the information we collect to provide our services and features to you, to measure and improve those services and features, and to provide you with customer support.
We may contact you with service-related announcements from time to time. You may opt out of all communications except essential updates on your account. We may include content you see on Outside Life in the emails we send you.
We don’t share your information with advertisers without your consent.
Certain downloadable software applications, such as our SMS system and photo folders, transmit data to us. We may not make a formal disclosure if we believe our collections of and use the information is the obvious purpose of the application. We will make disclosures where we believe it is not obvious so that you can decide whether you want to use the feature.
Information we receive from Third Parties:
We do not own or operate the secured payment gateways or insurance policy providers that you use through the registration portal. Whenever you connect with a payment gateway or purchase optional travel insurance, we will receive information from them, including information about actions you take. In some cases, in order to personalize the process of connecting, we may receive a limited amount of information even before you connect with the application or website.
Information you share with Third Parties:
We do not own or operate the Third Party applications like Picasa, Google Voice, AffiniPay and PayPal gateway.
Exporting Information. You may use tools like RSS feeds, mobile phone SMS notification, or the Picasa photo library that means that when you use those applications and websites you are making your Outside Life information available to someone other than Outside Life. Prior to allowing them to access any information about you, we limit their use of your information and use technical measures to ensure that they only obtain authorized information.
Protection of Personal Information:
Outside Life takes precautions — including administrative, technical, and physical measures — to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
Outside Life uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is collected. To make payments using the Outside Life portal you must use an SSL-enabled browser such as Safari, Firefox or Internet Explorer. Doing so protects the confidentiality of your personal information while it’s transmitted over the Internet.
When registering for an Outside Life trip limited personal information is shared with members of your group. Postings made in the Q&A Center are all public to members within your group. If you do not want to be seen or contacted by others please make the necessary changes to your profile under the Privacy tab or contact us at info@outsidelife.com.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover a person under the age of 13 has created a profile and registered for a trip we will take the necessary steps to delete the account immediately.
Changes:
We may make changes to the Privacy Policy but if changes are made you will be notified. Otherwise, our current privacy policy as it is outlined above applies to all information that we have about you and your account.
