By purchasing with Outside Life, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Promo Codes:
Your promo code is tied to your name and birthdate. It cannot be shared or transferred to anyone else. Only YOU can use your promo code.
If you share your code with anyone, you will not receive a refund.
SheerID Verification:
You must use your own SheerID information when applying for the college pass.
If you use someone else’s SheerID information, your account will be canceled, and you will not receive a refund.
Pass Pricing & Payments:
Ikon Pass prices increase incrementally throughout the year. Your price is only locked in if:
You have paid for your pass in full.
You are enrolled in the FlexPay payment plan.
If neither condition is met, your pass price is subject to increase.
You may pay in full at any time before the final payment deadline.
Payment Disputes
If you dispute your pass, it will be voided immediately.
To reinstate your pass, you must reverse the dispute and pay a $100 reinstatement fee.
Cancellation & Refunds:
You may cancel your pass at any time as long as you are not paid in full. You will receive a refund, minus a $25 deposit fee, as long as you have not completed the full payment.
After December 1, 2025: Refunds of any kind are not available.
Once paid in full, Outside Life cannot issue any refunds.
Pass Deferral (25/26 to 26/27 Season):
You may defer your pass to the 2026-27 season until December 11, 2025.
Steps to defer:
Redeem your promo code for the current season.
Log into your IkonPass.com profile and defer your pass.

Missed the deadline? Outside Life is not responsible for refunds.
Promo Code Availability:
Promo codes are not guaranteed before November 1, 2025.
If paid in full, you may request early access via ikonpass@outsidelife.com (processing time is 10-15 business days).
Physical Pass & Shipping
Alterra is responsible for shipping your pass.
To receive your pass:
Redeem your promo code.
Your pass will be mailed by Alterra.
Lost your pass? Contact Alterra directly.
Alternative Pickup: After redeeming your code, you can pick up your Ikon Pass at any North American Alterra Resort for a small fee.
SPOT Insurance Options:
SPOT insurance is available for purchase through Alterra Mountain Company.
Insurance can be added to your profile by contacting collegeclub@ikonpass.com before October 31, 2025.
Payment Processing & Privacy:
Payment transactions are handled by a third-party gateway and follow their own privacy policies.

Price Increases & Payment Conditions:
If Alterra announces a price increase, your price is only locked in if:
You have paid in full.
You are on the payment plan.
A $25 deposit does NOT lock in your pricing.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to Outside Livin (dba Outside) and we are committed to protecting your privacy in a manner that will allow you to use our services with confidence and comfort. So we’ve developed a Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your information. Use of the services offered at this site constitutes acceptance of the terms of this Policy. Here are examples of the types of personal information Outside Life may collect and how we may use it.
What personal information we collect:
When you create an account on the Outside Life website you provide us with your name, email, address, phone number, gender, graduation date, height/shoe size for rental purposes and birth date. You will also be able to add a picture of yourself.
The purpose of using the Outside Life site is to register for services provided by the company. Specific details about your trip are recorded and collected
A benefit of using the website is to connect with other trip participants within your group so you may ask questions and exchange information like pictures and videos. Examples include updating your trip status by making a payment, submitting a Q&A, uploading a photo or video, and making comments in the Media Center.
Transactional information obtained during the payment process is retained by a third party payment gateway and follows its own privacy policies. Please see AffiniPay for more information.
Information we collect when you interact with the Outside Life registration portal:
Site activity information. We keep track of some of the actions you make while in the portal, such as creating a photo album, sending messages, using the Q&A Center, indicating you “like” a post, and attending an event/trip. In some cases you are also taking an action when you provide information or content to us. For example, if you share a picture or video we might log the fact that you shared it.
Access Device and Browser Information. When you access the Outside Life registration portal from a computer we may collect information from that device about your browser type, location, and IP address, as well as the pages you visit.
Cookie Information. We use "cookies" (small pieces of data we store for an extended period of time on your computer, mobile phone, or other device) to make the portal easier to use and to protect both you and Outside Life. For example, we use them to store your login ID (but never your password) to make it easier for you to login whenever you come back to the portal. We also use them to confirm that you are logged into the portal. Removing or blocking cookies using the settings in your browser, will impact the portal’s functionality and your ability to use it.
What we do with your information:
We use the information we collect to provide our services and features to you, to measure and improve those services and features, and to provide you with customer support.
We may contact you with service-related announcements from time to time. You may opt out of all communications except essential updates on your account. We may include content you see on Outside Life in the emails we send you.
We don’t share your information with advertisers without your consent.
Certain downloadable software applications, such as our SMS system and photo folders, transmit data to us. We may not make a formal disclosure if we believe our collections of and use the information is the obvious purpose of the application. We will make disclosures where we believe it is not obvious so that you can decide whether you want to use the feature.
Information we receive from Third Parties:
We do not own or operate the secured payment gateways or insurance policy providers that you use through the registration portal. Whenever you connect with a payment gateway or purchase optional travel insurance, we will receive information from them, including information about actions you take. In some cases, in order to personalize the process of connecting, we may receive a limited amount of information even before you connect with the application or website.
Information you share with Third Parties:
We do not own or operate the Third Party applications like SheerID, Picasa, Google Voice, AffiniPay, Uplift and PayPal gateway.
Exporting Information. You may use tools like RSS feeds, mobile phone SMS notification, or the Picasa photo library that means that when you use those applications and websites you are making your Outside Life information available to someone other than Outside Life. Prior to allowing them to access any information about you, we limit their use of your information and use technical measures to ensure that they only obtain authorized information.
Protection of Personal Information:
Outside Life takes precautions — including administrative, technical, and physical measures — to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
Outside Life uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is collected. To make payments using the Outside Life portal you must use an SSL-enabled browser such as Safari, Firefox or Internet Explorer. Doing so protects the confidentiality of your personal information while it’s transmitted over the Internet.
When registering for an Outside Life trip limited personal information is shared with members of your group. Postings made in the Q&A Center are all public to members within your group. If you do not want to be seen or contacted by others please make the necessary changes to your profile under the Privacy tab or contact us at info@outsidelife.com.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover a person under the age of 13 has created a profile and registered for a trip we will take the necessary steps to delete the account immediately.
Changes:
We may make changes to the Privacy Policy but if changes are made you will be notified. Otherwise, our current privacy policy as it is outlined above applies to all information that we have about you and your account.
